Commonly Asked Questions
Before You Book
Yes. We encouraged you to visit us if you haven’t been staying with us before, and we will do a brief assessment before your dog’s stay. This isn’t a pass/fail test—we’re learning your dog’s personality, energy level, and comfort with other dogs so we can give them the best experience.
We require proof of current rabies and DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) before arrival. This protects all dogs in our care, including yours. Please bring documentation to the assessment visit, or when you’re checking-in your dog.
We accept fixed and unfixed dogs. For unfixed dogs, there will be an extra charge to cover for individual playtime and cleaning our space if the dog marking anywhere. However, if behavioral issues arise as a result of unfixed dog, we reserve the right to discontinue service. This is about keeping all dogs safe and comfortable. You can read about it more here.
Absolutely fine. You just have to bring their regular food and any medications, with clear instructions. The more we know about their routine, the better we can care for them.
Daily Life at Lemmika
- 8:00-10:00: Starting their day with walk, potty break and breakfast
- 10:00-12:00: Supervised play session (size-separated groups)
- 12:00-14:00: Rest period, lunch if needed
- 14:00-16:00: Afternoon play session
- 16:00-18:00: Quiet time, individual attention with our caregivers
- 18:00-20:00: Evening walk and potty break
- Overnight: Dogs rest in individual sleeping areas with 24/7 camera monitoring
No, we don’t have staff sleeping on-site. However, your dog is never truly alone—our 24/7 surveillance system monitors all areas, and we have protocols for any alerts. Dogs sleep in individual rest spaces designed for comfort and safety. If your dog needs constant human presence at night, our hotel may not be the right fit.
During the day (8:00-20:00), the dogs are never really alone. The caregivers are actively supervising play and rest periods. Overnight (roughly 20:30-7:30), dogs rest in their individual areas with camera monitoring but no staff on-site. This is approximately 12 hours, similar to what many dogs experience at home during a work day plus overnight.
Small and medium dogs (under ~20kg) play together in one area. Large dogs (20kg+) have their own space. This prevents tiny dogs from being overwhelmed and lets everyone play at their own pace safely.
Currently, we have a capacity of 6 dogs in our hotel at one time. Small groups mean your dog gets actual attention, not just supervision from across the room.
Yes. We will send photo updates during the day so you can see them enjoying themselves. However, if they have a longer stay, we might update you every 2-3 days, so you can enjoy your travel time. No need to wonder if they’re okay.
Practical Details
Their regular food, any medications or supplements with clear instructions, vaccination records (first visit only), and some comfort items if they help your dog relax (favorite toys, blanket).
We provide bedding, bowls and enrichment toys.
We monitor all dogs for signs of illness, stress, or injury. For minor issues (small scrapes from play), we assess, separate if needed, and notify you immediately. For health concerns, we have veterinary contacts on standby and your emergency contact info accessible at all times.
Book online or contact us at hi@lemmika.ee. First-time guests need to complete the assessment visit before booking overnight stays.
